Mets may be going after Twins Outfielder if they can't get Mondesi or Damon

The Mets are looking at the Twins outfielder right now as a possible leadoff hitter and right fielder. Lawton, who had an on base percentage above .400 last year would be a quality leadoff hitter if it weren't for the fact that he hits third in Minnesota. Lawton would come at a low price for the Mets and may be the best fit of the three options, Damon and Mondesi being the other two. Damon becomes a free agent at the end of this season and Mondesi may come at a price too high.
